Masterminds for School and District Leaders

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” –African proverb

Now, more than ever, school leaders can’t do it alone. Come learn with us to be prepared to lead in a constantly changing world. School leadership doesn’t have to be lonely.

What is a School Leadership Mastermind?

This is an opportunity to join a facilitated community of school and district leaders from around the country, all of whom are working to solve the new and unique challenges facing educators. We meet for one hour, every other week, for professional learning, problem solving, and support.

Why join a Mastermind group?

Research shows that the best professional learning focuses on real practice, supports collaboration, models effective practice, provides coaching and support, offers opportunities for feedback and reflection, and is of sustained duration. A school leadership Mastermind does all of that, drawing its strength from the full participation of each member.

What topics will we address?

Participant-generated topics will ensure that sessions are timely and relevant:

  • Developing key leadership skills to build relationships and move your school/district forward
  • Building collaborative structures to grapple with new, emerging challenges
  • Addressing obstacles to learning and student engagement
  • Balancing support of teachers with the need for more rigorous instruction
  • Addressing the needs of our most vulnerable learners
  • Building a strong and engaging school culture
  • Planning professional learning that changes practice
  • Leading school-wide change

TESTIMONIALS

“I have always been hesitant to join groups because I was unsure of the value. You have given me a completely new perspective. You have facilitated connections with others. I love the ideas we have shared as well.”

—Maytee D., Principal

“Thank you for a wonderful opportunity to connect with professionals across the country who are navigating these uncharted waters. The format of the sessions was excellent. I appreciated the tools that were used during each session because they were easy to use immediately in my school community.”

—Christine V., Assistant Principal

“Thank you for your insightful mentorship! It’s helped me stay focused on what really matters!”

—Beth S., Principal

“The opportunity to collaborate with people from around the country has been really motivating and energizing. I loved the one-pagers provided by Jenn, and I love the free sharing of resources that happens during the conversations, and the variety of formats (i.e., breakout rooms, Padlets, etc.) to model how we can make meetings more interactive. Before I became involved in this group, the COVID-19 thing was starting to drag on me making me a little depressed. The chance to interact and learn / grow really helped turn that around for me personally.”
